Before and After Images
Before and after images-such beautiful quality is preserved for many years to come!
Bill Young began working on furniture in 1992 when he was employed by Jonathan Schechtman at Meeting House Furniture in Quechee, Vermont. He learned firsthand the skills required to restore furniture to its original beauty using old world techniques. He assisted in some large restoration projects including restoring all of the desks in the Vermont State Legislature, and the Senate seats that sit behind the Governor's podium.
Desiring to work closer to home and to expand his skills, Bill went to work for Charles Shackleton at Shackleton Furniture in Bridgewater, Vermont. He quickly learned the ropes of handmade custom furniture. When an opening in the upholstery department became available, Bill found his niche. His skills were obvious to the management and he quickly ascended to supervisor of the upholstery department, upholstering all new pieces built and sold by Shackleton Furniture.
Seeing an opportunity to combine his restoration skills and upholstering skills, Bill launched his own home based upholstering business in 2001. Since then, he has been meeting and exceeding his customer's expectations with his commitment to providing excellent service, attention to the finest details and high level of quality not found in production upholstery shops.
